The Anderson County Fire Department has a total of 27 volunteer fire stations and three sub stations. Each station is made up of men and women of all ages who volunteer their time to protect our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We Protect approximately 202,000 citizens, 757 square miles and respond to over 5,000 calls a year. Currently, the task of fire protection is accomplished by more than 900 volunteer firefighters responding from 27 stations throughout the county. These dedicated firefighters respond to all types of fires, wrecks, medical calls, Haz-mat incidents, and technical rescue calls. Our Current Fleet of apparatus consists of 61 engines, 25 tankers, 30 grass trucks, 3 ladder trucks, and numerous rescue and service vehicles. We are always looking for people who are willing to volunteer their time to become part of the Anderson County Fire Service.
